About the Organization:
Borderless World Foundation (BWF) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that was founded on March 8th, 2002. We are registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 (BPT). Our registered office is located at C1/1, SNo 14/15, Y. At BWF, our mission is to create a world without borders, where everyone has equal opportunities and access to basic needs. We believe in the power of compassion, empathy, and collective action to bring about positive change.
Through our various initiatives and programs, we strive to address social issues, promote education, empower marginalized communities, and foster sustainable development. Our efforts are focused on creating a more inclusive and equitable society, breaking down barriers, and bridging gaps between different communities.
Issue:
Our Bassera-e-Tabassum (B-e-T) Homes in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh provide a safe haven for underprivileged children and orphans in the region. Located near market areas in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir, these homes serve as a long-term project dedicated to uplifting the lives of these children. One of our primary goals is to provide digital literacy assistance to each child, starting from their early education up to higher secondary education. This support will extend to new admissions in our B-e-T Homes as well. To facilitate this, we require various electronic gadgets such as inverters with battery backup, laptops, projectors, tablets, printers, Kindles, Alexas, home speakers with mics, Android TVs, and electric scooters. Additionally, online education subscriptions and yearly internet access are essential components of this project.
By implementing this digital literacy program, we aim to connect all our homes and girls to the latest educational modules, infrastructure, and the freedom to communicate and collaborate with teachers, guides, and counsellors. It will create opportunities for more engaging and meaningful learning experiences, fostering responsible and effective utilization of technology to interact with the world around them. Through online platforms and websites, our girls will gain knowledge and have the chance to compete and learn intellectually. This initiative will empower them to become digitally independent, equipping them with the skills necessary to secure their careers and thrive in our increasingly tech-savvy world. By embracing digital education, we contribute to the larger vision of a digital India, fostering progress and empowering our nation.
Action:
Our vision is to transform all orphanages into e-classrooms or digital centers, providing access to quality education and digital resources for the children. Through this initiative, we aim to organize English, Maths, and Science classes using e-classroom facilities, ensuring comprehensive learning opportunities.
In addition to academic subjects, we also plan to organize vocational programs to equip the children with practical skills that will enhance their employability and future prospects. Staff training sessions will be conducted at five orphanages to enhance their teaching abilities and familiarize them with the use of technology in education.
Skill-based training programs will be organized to provide the children with a diverse range of skills, empowering them to pursue their passions and interests. We are actively inviting and connecting with teachers from local, national, and global levels to enrich the learning experience and expose the children to a wide range of teaching methods.
Our goal is to ensure that every Indian citizen, starting with children, becomes digitally independent. To achieve this, we recognize the need to create a digital infrastructure that can serve as a utility for every child. It is not only important to know how to use technology but also to understand its significance in today's world.
Impact :
Through e-classrooms and digital classrooms, we aim to connect with various educational methods and resources. We have already initiated discussions with schools and teachers to join our e-classrooms, and we have successfully established partnerships with several schools that are providing classes for our students. We are actively seeking and organizing special skills, volunteer support, and technical assistance to make this initiative a success.
Furthermore, we have five rental accommodations available where we can establish our e-classrooms and digital centers, providing a conducive learning environment for the children. By implementing this transformative approach, we are committed to empowering children with essential digital skills and fostering their academic and personal growth.
