The lack of toilets or good toilets in schools causes great discomfort to students, especially girls. On the academic front, students need to be digitally literate. ‘Social for Action’ realised this and started an activity called ‘Act for Education’ to provide all necessary facilities to students in schools, namely a toilet, digital e-learning facility, etc. through crowdfunding. As part of this activity, toilets have been constructed in the Zilla Parishad primary school in Tambhad, in Bhor taluka and Saraswati Secondary School in Velhe taluka and the construction of toilets in 2 schools in Purandar and Daund taluka is underway. Also, 3 Zilla Parishad primary schools in Khed and Ambegaon talukas in the Pune district have been provided with an e-learning setup.
