About the Organization:
Gram Gourav Pratishthan is working since 1974 for small and marginal farmers to ensure water availability ,equitable distribution of water, sustainable agriculture,holistic healthcare and local leadership. We focus on preservation of of natural common property resources like water,land,forest and biodiversity within a village or a panchakroshi. We intend to spread action, research and learning from its Panchakroshi development model work over 65 villages within the Karha river valley in Purandar taluka and within the rain stressed villages beyond.

Issue:
Lack of awareness in rural areas regarding prevention of diseases with respect to change in diet, lifestyle, early diagnosis as well as proper counselling and treatment. It is commonly seen that there is a need for a good healthcare system in rural India especially for women with regards to nutritional deficiencies, care during pregnancy, post natal care, breast health, child health. Increase in number of people affected by degenerative diseases like - arthritis, nutritional disorders like anaemia. Lack of awareness about the harmful effects of pesticides and fertilizers.

Action:
To provide access to equitable, affordable and quality health care to the villages surrounding Purandar. We plan to spread awareness through Ayurveda for prevention, early detection and counselling with inhouse Outdoor patient department as well as Panchakarma centre. We hope to be a replicable model for other rural areas for decentralized healthcare centre connecting multiple villages. We plan to spread awareness and guidance regarding cancer, puerperal care, child care and geriatric care through workshops and camps. encourage School children to adopt to dinacharya, plantation of indigenous.

Impact :
Monthly OPD of more than 100 patients. 2 Health camps in adjoining villages with mobile health van. Awareness workshops in schools, as well as our centre- women health, geriatric care, cancer, mental health, menstrual health. Total beneficiaries- more
