Social For Action, an all-in-one crowdfunding platform created by Sakal Media Group, has recently launched its educational infrastructure initiative - Act For Education. The program aims to equip numerous schools with e-learning facilities, science labs, and restrooms, with the goal of reaching the largest possible number of educational institutions. SFA recognizes the significant role that schools play in shaping students' personalities and holistic learning experiences. Just as experienced teachers and effective teaching methodologies are essential to shaping a student's academic life, having proper infrastructure is also critical.

In today's rapidly-evolving learning environment, 21st-century learning equips students with the skills they need to succeed. With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the education industry has undergone significant disruptions, resulting in changes in pedagogy and the entire learning system.

With an understanding of the crucial role that education plays in shaping the lives of students, this digital crowdfunding platform has initiated a campaign to support 15 schools in the Pune district. The campaign aims to provide modern and hygienic restroom facilities, e-learning solutions, and STEM labs, which will impact the lives of approximately 35,000 students living in rural areas of Pune. The launch is scheduled for April 2, 2022.

According to the United Nations, as of April 2020, nearly 1.6 billion children and youth were out of school due to the Covid-19 pandemic, disrupting their learning and adversely affecting their lives. Proper hygiene, a well-rounded education, and access to digital learning facilities are fundamental requirements that every child deserves. To ensure that education never stops and that every child has access to learning opportunities that provide them with the skills required for life and work, they must be connected to personalized e-learning solutions that enable them to leapfrog into a brighter future.

While scholastic infrastructure is being worked on for numerous schools in rural India, another major aspect that ensures better student retention, especially among female students, is the need for proper, functional toilets.
