About the Organization:
A residential children's home project for destitute, homeless, single-parent girls is run by a social organization called 'St. Crispins' at Erandwane in Pune. Named after Saint Crispins, it has been operating at Erandwane in Pune since the 19th century. Crispin was born in 1668 in Viterbo, Italy. Before becoming a Capuchin brother, he worked as a hermit, cook, nurse, barber, and gardener and asked for help from the poor. His works were recognized two centuries later, and he was recognized as St. Crispin by Pope Pius VII in 1806.
The Society was visited by the St. John's Evangelist Fathers (SSJE) and St. Mary the Virgin Sisters (CSMV) in 1900, during the plague and malaria epidemic. During this time, Father started a kindergarten and a primary school for the needy and homeless children. The organization is registered under the Maharashtra Public Trust Registration Act at the office of the Assistant Charity Commissioner, Pune.
From 1900 to date, the organization has rehabilitated a large number of destitute, homeless, single parents, child welfare committees,s and deprived and neglected girls filed by the police. Today, there are 150 girls in the organization. These girls are studying in primary and secondary schools on the premises of the institute from class I to X and are pursuing courses like SNDT College in Commerce, Arts, Home Science, and B.C.A. Also, some girls are studying ANM and GNM courses in nursing college. The institute has facilities for skill-based courses and education. Since its inception in 1955, St. Crispins Home has benefited thousands of girls, and the school has a large number of out-of-school students.

Issue:
The organization has monthly groceries, vegetables, and fruits for the 150 girls residential project, fifteen computers for education (CPU only), monitors, and keyboards. So with the help of the CPU, the organization can complete a set of fifteen computer sets. In addition, the organization needs collective support from all walks of life for the protection of girls, a CCTV system, fence around the organization's three-acre plot (now the fence is about 18 years old and low.) Educational materials and books for girls, etc. St. Crispins needs support for the upbringing, education, and holistic development of the underprivileged and needy minor girls in the community. Sakal Media Group's 'Social for Action' Digital Crowdfunding Platform You will get information about the activities of 'Pins Home'. Action:
Rachu and Sindhu have also completed their education and are standing on their own feet. Rinku is now married and works as a nurse in a reputed private hospital in Pune. Rachu and Sindhu are also married and working for a private company. Over the last several years, the organization has been working for the complete rehabilitation of many girls, who are serving as police, engineers, teachers, and beauticians (businesswomen). Most of the reputed hospitals in Pune employ female nurses. Also, some girls are working in high positions in the country and abroad.
Facilities in the residential project of the organization
(1) Resident Child Care Facility (RCCF)
(2) Elementary School (Class I to VII).
(3) Secondary School (Class VIII-X).
(4) A vocational training center (currently only tailoring and computer).
(5) A personality development center that includes formal and informal training programs and conferences with counseling facilities.

Primary Cause :
Rinku, aged 10, Rachu aged 8, and Sindhu aged 5 joined the institute in 1995 (original names have been changed). His mother had already died and his father had died in an accident while working for a construction company, so three sisters were admitted to the institution. The three sisters, being intelligent and studious, made good use of all the facilities provided by the organization and became self-reliant, progressing on their own. The three sisters were educated in the primary and secondary schools on the premises of the institute. Rinku completed her nursing education at the institute and got a job on her own. With the help of the organization, she rented a house and accepted the responsibility of the two younger sisters and the three started living together, as they wanted to live together as a family.
