Ganesh needs a thousand helping hands. Mother appeals for help to treat her 32-year-old son
About The Organisation
Sakal Media Group has started a new digital crowdfunding platform called ‘Social for Action’ under Sakal Social Foundation. The platform helps social service organisations to raise funds to carry out their social activities. At the same time, Social for Action is attempting to get financial help through crowdfunding for people who need money for medical treatment and surgeries. Today, we will get to know about a 32-year-old accident survivor Ganesh Zambare.
Issue
Ganesh Zambare (32), lived in Ganjwewadi Valati (Tal Ambegaon) in Pune district along with his mother. He dreamt of going for higher studies, securing a good job and rising to a high position one day. But due to household responsibilities, he could study only till the 12th. The family faced a financial crunch, so he and his mother had to work. Ganesh worked as an agricultural labourer and did other odd jobs.
Later he took up a job at a fertiliser shop in Narayangaon that paid him more than what he would earn as a labourer. For the last 10 years, he was working at the shop. Things had started looking up and his mother planned to marry him off soon.
But fate had other plans. On 20th August, Ganesh was travelling to his workplace when his two-wheeler met with an accident near the power substation at Ranjani. Ganesh sustained a serious head injury.
Action
Ganesh was operated upon at a private hospital in Kasarwadi, Pune and is currently undergoing further treatment. It is going to be a long way to recovery. The entire expenditure for the skull surgery and the treatment is going to be around ₹10 lakh. His mother cannot raise the amount. His relatives and friends have collected ₹2 lakh but they still need ₹8 lakh. His friends have made an appeal to charitable individuals and organisations for help through social media.
