Providing Nutritious Food to Balgram Children.

About the Organization:
Balgram Maharashtra is Non-Government Organization registered under Society Registration and Public Trust Act, and was founded in 1974 in Pune. Balgram works for all round development of children in the age group of 3 to 23 years, who are in need of care and Protection (Orphan, Destitute and underprivileged). Balgram follows the family base child care concept, i.e. 8-10 children are taken care of by one mother. boys and girls of different age live happily in these homes as brothers and sisters and share the household chores with their mother. They get family love, emotional supports, security, good upbringing, technical and higher education, which leads to their overall progress. All these children attend community school, this ensures that they also mix with other children from the society. We run five child care units, viz Balgram SOS Pune, Balgram Panvel (Panchdeep Sankul) district Raigad, Balgram Panhala, district Kolhapur, Neela Balsadan, Ambernath, district Thane and Dr Hermann Gminer Social Center Pune.

Issue:
When a child comes to the institution, it is often malnourished and weak. At Balgram, we work towards building a solid foundation for the child’s overall growth and progress, while doing so, nutritious food intake is one of the most important ingredients We are a non profit organization and we reach out to people for their support to ensure that we meet our objective of providing nutritious food to all our children…with this appeal we look forward to people support for this noble

Action:
In our mission to provide healthy nutrition to 300 children of Balgram across five locations in Maharashtra and thereby also ensuring their holistic development and proper rehabilitation. we are looking forward to approaching individual and institutional donors, CSR funds to help meet all the needs of orphans and needy children in the organization.

Impact :
The total number of beneficiaries / children across Two locations (Balgram Yerwada and Dr Hermann Gminer Social Center, shivaji nagar, Pune in Maharashtra is 230 and we are looking forward to donor support to ensure nutritious meals / food for all these children - This will support in the overall development of these children in their growth years
