Inadequate toilets in some schools in rural areas are a major disadvantage mainly for the girl child. School dropout rate of girls is high in rural areas due to lack of adequate toilet facilities in schools. For all girls to have access to education, schools need to have good toilets. An Act for Education activity has been undertaken through the 'Social Four Action' campaign for the construction of toilets in schools. Jewelers Pvt. Ltd. and Desai Brothers Ltd. have provided funds from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund. Through this, the construction of toilets in 16 schools has been completed so far. This includes 13 schools in Pune district, 2 schools in Satara district and one school in Solapur district.
