In a compassionate endeavor, 500 poor school pupils from grades 5 to 10 were given educational resource packages in selected rural and remote parts of the Pune district. This project was made possible by the collaboration of Sakal Social Foundation, a subsidiary of the Sakal Medium Group, and Shri Mukund Bhavan Trust. The event was held at the Sakal office in Budhwar Peth and was attended by Purushottam Lohia, Executive Trustee of Shri Mukund Bhavan Trust, Mahendra Pisal, Sakal's Chief Executive Officer, Madan Jain, Lalita Karwa, Sharad Sarada, and a large number of teachers, parents and kids.
This is the fourth year of this significant instructional content distribution operation. Sakal personnel carefully picked the children who will benefit from this project from the Pune district, emphasizing the program's focus on the most vulnerable, including many from distant locations and students from NGO-run schools and hostels.
