Plantation of 800 trees on Taljai; Planning for one thousand six hundred tree plantation  Trees will be maintained for three years

Pune, On behalf of V. S. Patel Engineers, M/s. Nikhil Construction Group and M/s. Jai Landscape of Pune and in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation Road Department, as well as the Project Department and in collaboration with 'Sakal Social Foundation' and the Forest Department, 800 indigenous trees have been planted on Taljai hill in Sahakarnagar. The initiative received special cooperation from Manoj Barbole, Forest Range Officer of Bhamburda Division. Also, guidance was received from Aniruddha Pawaskar, Chief Engineer of Pune Municipal Corporation Road Department.

On the occasion of World Environment Day. The initiative was formally inaugurated by planting representative trees at the tree plantation site on Taljai Hill by Deputy Engineer Tapan Chikne, Junior Engineer Akshay Raut of Pune Municipal Corporation Road Department and Forest Supervisor Rohini Ghadge. Nathprasad Deshpande of V. S. Patel Engineers, Engineer Santosh Jadhav, Sachin Manjre, Asif Sheikh and Lalita Shirole of Jai Landscape were present on this occasion.

All the trees planted by M/s. Nikhil Construction Group, V.S. Patel Engineers and M/s. Jai Landscape will be maintained and conserved for three years. It is necessary to undertake a substantial tree plantation program to take effective measures against natural disasters such as global warming, continuous increase in temperature, climate and seasonal changes, drought, water scarcity, heavy rainfall, floods etc. The organizers appealed to everyone to participate in such tree plantation and tree conservation activities.
