Act of Education - Donate E-Learning Set Up for Rural School

Issue:
The right to an education is a fundamental human right. Despite recent progress, millions of children continue to be denied access to an education. One of the major causes of poverty transmission from generation to generation is a lack of access to education. Education is a fundamental human right that is enshrined in both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Every boy and girl should have the right to and access to a high-quality education so that they can pursue more opportunities in life, such as employment, better health, and societal development.

Action:
Educational Materials Aid Project is being implemented in collaboration with Sakal Social Foundation, Shri Mukund Bhavan Trust, K&Q Parivar for the education of underprivileged and selected 5th to 9th class students in rural and urban areas of the Pune district. At the start of the new academic year in June, eligible and selected students will receive educational materials. Underprivileged students' applications will be accepted through 'Sakal' representatives. School bags, foolscap notebooks (two or three dozen), compass boxes, water bottles, tiffin boxes, watercolours, drawing books, exam pads, boots and socks, raincoats, sweaters, sports shoes, sports uniforms (T-shirts and half pants), Satranji, sheets, and summer hats will be included in the educational material kit.

Impact :
Three thousand five hundred rupees is the cost of a student's educational material kit. Attempts are being made to provide educational material kits to 300 primary school students. To make educational materials available to an increasing number of children in Maharashtra via the Pune district, the collective assistance of generous individuals, various organisations, and establishments is required.
