About the Organization:
Caring Hands is an organization that strives to make a radical change in the lives of these children in terms of holistic development. The journey of the organization started from a small town like Ahmednagar and today it has reached a metropolis like Pune. With the efforts of Sudhir Naik, the head of the society, and with the help of philanthropists from the community, the society has got two acres of land in Ambi village in Maval taluka of Pune. In this place, a residential hostel is run by the organization through the 'Kalashram Project' to start a light festival of education and culture in the lives of homeless and socially neglected children. At present, there are 40 children in this hostel, and the number of children is increasing. The organization also wants to start a school for at least 600 children in this area from 1st to 10th standard for which they have applied to the government for school accreditation. They also want to build an underground RCC water tank with a capacity of two lakh liters for this hostel and need a borewell for water and an industrial washing machine for cleaning children's clothes.

Issue:
There are many new social issues in society today. Also, there are various old problems in society. It is not up to us to decide who should be born in which race, caste, and situation It is definitely up to you to create the right and living conditions after birth. More than seven decades have passed since India gained independence but today nomadic families in the society have not yet achieved social, educational, and economic stability. This society is still deprived and backward from education, financial literacy, and employment and business opportunities. As a result, a large number of families belonging to the nomadic and nomadic tribes are far from the mainstream of society in terms of development. The people of this tribe have not received their basic rights, and many nomadic tribes are still living their lives in this vicious cycle of poverty, superstition, and neglect of other elements of society. In this too, the children of this nomadic tribe are in a bad condition only because of the seal of the tribe which was acquired by birth.

Action:
Caring Hands' seven years ago, the organization undertook the task of rehabilitating the children of nomadic castes and tribes in Ahmednagar. The organization strives to bring stability to nomadic families like Pardhi, Dombari, Bhill, Dhangar, Kaikadi, Laman, and Katkari and make them aware of their basic rights and responsibilities as a citizen. The organization carried out various social activities with more than 350 families in the villages. While working on behalf of the organization, the main focus was on the eradication of superstitions - public awareness, health check-ups, hygiene and awareness, employment opportunities for the youth, and sacramental education and value education for children in a safe environment. Caring Hands is a non-profit organization for children and women belonging to nomadic castes and tribes within a 20 km radius of Ahmednagar city. Activities like education for children in the family, employment for youth, and vocational training for women are implemented by the organization. 1. Rite class: - At the settlement level, Sanskar class activities are conducted for the children in the age group of three to six years from the nomadic deprived tribes and migrant families. In this, such children are brought together by the activists of the organization in the Vasti to impart proper rites to the children and to make them familiar with the alphabet, and to impart education to them. Such children are given nutritious food by the organization. Today 180 children are studying in Sanskar class. Through the organization, such children are admitted to the local school by meeting the parents of the children after the age of six, counseling the parents, and convincing them of the importance of education. 2. Providing employment to the youth: - Through the organization, housekeeping, waiters, cooks are provided in the hotels and hospitals in the area for the youth of nomadic deprived tribes and migrant families to make a living. Such youths are trained by the respective establishments. 3. Vocational training for women: - Women from nomadic tribes and migrant families are encouraged to start their own businesses by providing vocational training in the form of beauty parlors, making cloth bags, sewing, selling fruits and vegetables, tea stalls.

Primary Cause :
Poonam Sopal (name has been changed) from Pimpalgaon in Ahmednagar district was working as a farm laborer and brick kiln worker who was only 14 years old. She also had to collect wood, cook, and take care of her siblings. The father committed suicide under the influence of alcohol two years ago and all the responsibility fell on her mother and Poonam. She dropped out of school when she was eight. Due to the poor economic conditions, it was not possible to get school supplies and uniforms, and the school was about six kilometers long, so there was no means of transportation in and out of the village. Instead of trying to recover, she decided to keep her at home and get married in a year or two. Activists of 'Caring Hands' talked to Poonam and her mother to bring her into the mainstream of education, convincing them of the importance of education. She also persuaded her mother to let her continue her education. In two days, through the organization and with the help of donors, school materials, uniforms, shoes, slippers, backpacks, and especially a new bicycle was made available to her. The teachers of the institute started teaching her regularly. Seeing that her education had started, her friend Vaishnavi (name has been changed) got ready to go to school too. Now both of them go to school regularly on the same bicycle. Now they are on par with other boys and girls in sports, rhetoric, and other skills and studies. He has decided not to stop now. Both have become role models for other boys and girls in the community.
